Having used Zoom, Teams and Slack heavily during lockdown, while they have a few quirks, they more than adequately deliver on the above. A list of participants and a live chat are basic features, as is the ability to speak using one’s own mic. The problem space is complex: an app needs to support broadcast audio, while also displaying teaching materials. It’s been a long time since I have used a communication tool as poorly devised as this. Requires WiFi or a standard 3G/4G connection.
